Mario is a minor character — cargo distribution coordinator on a Solar Railway wagon (usually one per wagon; stressful, whole-wagon oversight). The player finds only his PDA in an elevator toward Cargo Bay 4 on The Solar Railway.

Struggle marks and blood on the elevator wall leave his fate unknown — dead or transformed. The audio log places him on the Solar Maintenance Gateway from Bay 8 to Bay 4, raging about the wagon's condition, the Lu Hsun automation rush, and loading ten containers instead of hundreds.

It's a miracle we still have propulsion. Russian tech is tough as nails, even a damn nuke would just make it more radioactive! But why the fuck did we have to floor it before the Lu Hsun loading, ey? Rushing for cargo, boys? For more damn iron, were we? Then we only loaded ten containers? Ten?! Instead of 350? Then we floor it again inside the distribution center area?! Clever! I've been here 8 years, and I've never seen this shit. We were doing 200Km/h inside Lu Hsun, leaving every wagon in the dust. I hear a crane broke off in Bay Two, and a radioactive container has been ripped off. It held some porcelain? Fuck this all!
